I would like to play Vietcong like a few years ago.
But there is a problem : when launching VC starter or Vietcong.Exe : i am forced to disable sounds to be able to play. If i dont check "disable sounds", i've got black screen during 2 sec then returning to Windows.
I tried to update my audio driver, but no change.
What can be the problem?
I am using Win 7 ultimate, and realtek ac97 audio driver.
when i read stuff like "i am using windows 7" then the first thing i always say is --> VCStarter?
i couldnt garranty it would fix the issue but its a must for vista-vietcong-players. make sure setup both, the vietcong.exe and starter so that theyre launched in adminmode, winxp-compatibility.
realtek sound drivers are also supported by Microsoft. If you don't use your sound card for anymore then just to have sound.
try uninstalling all sound card software, then let windows find and install the driver from Microsoft.
