Hey, I'm wondering who is actually interested in some VC2 coop gameplay?
One thing is ofc the server question and where to play - but as I understand, that would be arrangable.
But who of you guys would actually like to play VC2 now and then? Or, are there already some ppl roaming through the VC2-jungle somewhere atm? I just saw that Daan made this new map......so I assume, there is interest or even activity? I know about John's clan/community, but what else is out there?
We tried VC2 coop, we played few times but VC2 is for Rambos, too fast. And also atmosphere is not so good as VC1, seems like arcade game. And at last - i had problem to recognise US soldier from VC soldier So result - VC2 is shit.
i play vc2 and like it much, it's just different game and u need to adapt. there's a plenty of custom maps(with new skins also), which look very realistic.
wht about speed, u dont have to run all time or even use capslock(vc2 key: "sprint".)
running sometimes helps when gooks are rushing rapidly on you.
im playing it on PLATOoN servers, not very active but i hope soon wil be.
I can also post some map links and share my own speechpack(of ingame speech); it's just platoon's pack with a bit edit. so it's a good idea about that all and vc2 also needs living!
kosti you just need to get used to the new skins, and if you dont like the gameplay i can try to add here the call for regression mod for you,it brings back some gameplay elements from vc1, im working on a update for that, but i made a simplfied version of the first version wich is easy to install, vc2 has now alot of newer maps, soo you can make quite good maplists from it, you just need to figure out what maps are shit and wich are good
in the first patch 1.00 there arent much coop servers but if you change to 1.10 the game runs smoother and there are more coop servers, and most of the rambo's are gone there

Rambo's??? if i remember wel we ban you for rambo style playing in the servers of platoon!!!
So who is rambo here?
And mabye you need a new set of glasses? we have no problems whit US/gook diverence!
(the one who shoots at you is usually the enemy )
If some one want to play vc2 in hard core coop style they are welcome to the servers of platoon
We have 3 servers atm one cloosed and 2 open servers.
you need Fist bravo 1.1 update

I played several times on different VC2 servers. Everytime I tried to play like on VC1 server, but other players run like Rambos, so I stayed everytime too far behind the runners. I don't remember that I was banned on platoons server, maybe yes, but not because Ramboing. I tried VC2 only few times, mostly on my own server.

BTW If you need to wait when VC shoot first, it is not good to recognise who is enemy and who not. Normaly when he started shooting, it is too late to recognise that it was gook.

Kosti, it can be easy just to remember the uniform's lookof both sides. and also, when u play vc2 coop, the team is usually somewhere close, but gooks are coming from concrete directions and always shout vietnamese loudly before they start shooting or rushing, so, i repeat, u just need to adapt; if u want ofc

The game setting are now for the platoon system of play ( we have more then 6 year of experience whit the gooks in vc2)
but can be changed by a admin
Also inportent is speech, vc2 havent got invoice so TS3 is required mabye a ts3 admin can create a chanel?
