I have a problem. When I play any mission and get an in-game radio call, the game crashes. I read several other forums and found something on one about a special "vietcong.exe" starter that would fix the problem. I've already tried the "VCStarter.exe" from The Archi Family group, with the "Mission 2 crash fix" turned on, and that didn't work. I read on the same site that I read about the special "vietcong.exe" from that the "Mission 2 crash fix" on VCStarter didn't work either. One of the posters said he got this special "vietcong.exe" file from another guy, and a guy at the end said to ask on the "vietcong.info" forums to find the special "vietcong.exe" file. Could anyone help me?
The "VCStarter" and "Vietcong.zip" did absolutely nothing. I read on an online forum that a guy named "Brchi" from the group "The Archi Family" has a specially modified version of "vietcong.exe" file that WILL fix the problem. I need Brchi to send me that modified file, now!
Alright, it's been a while, but I'm back, and I still have the problem. I know that Brchi sent me the link to the "vietcong.zip", and as I said, that didn't work. Brchi, if you see this, I'm asking you: please, I need that modified "vietcong.exe" that you have!
P.S.
I read on the forum where I heard about all this that one of the forum users emailed Brchi on the Friends-For-All forum, and that guy said that he posted a message on that forum for Brchi on the modified .exe. Brchi, again, if you see this, that might help you.
Is TeamViewer something to do with multiplayer? I'm using these solutions for single player only, might that be the problem? If TeamViewer works for a single player solution, then please, let me see it!
Alright, I have TeamViewer installed. Please tell me what I need to download or otherwise to make this work, and I'm ready to link up as soon as you reply. I'll get VCStarter.zip downloaded, do I need that to start? Anyway, get back to me as soon as you can. Thanks!
maybe a stab in the dark, but have you tried disabling your sound card?
friend of mine had same problem. this worked for him, may or may not work for you.
after that mission. can turn sound card back on
I have win 7 ...when i was running VC without VCStarter, it was falling to me too, but now, when i am running it with VCStarter it works excellent...good work Brchi

Disabling the sound card? Don't you mean the "disable sound" option in the setup menu? And doesn't this only fix the crash right on startup?
