Can you find out the system specs of Ducks server (Memory)?
The only thing I can say for the moment is that his server should have less than...1 GB of memory! It's a rather "modest" server!
Later with more news maybe...
Here are the specifications Duck sent me about his server... 768 MB RAM DDR-400 (512MB + 256MB both PC-3200)
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ CPU (2GHz)

my problem is solved. I needed to install First alpha, and run that. It crashed with normal vietcong, but it works good for me with first alpha
Oh! But in your case, I'm sure it was because you were missing the Fist Alpha addon! Intrusion and IntrusionWars WON'T load without it!
Your crash was different than the one of the server obviously. Glad to see your problem is resolved...
I would like to expose you a "little story" because it may help to "wide" the field of research...
One day (vc-coop time) mb, reported me that my latest VC_Storm_II map was buggy... Players couldn't select a class and respawn on the map because of a "black screen thing" or something similar (to be honest, I'm not sure anymore). But this time I was SURE she wasn't buggy because the map was working on Duck' server, but also because VC_Storm_II was "just" another version of my previous VC_Storm map, wich was already working (in the past) on the servers... When mb tested VC_Storm, the map suffered the same problem!!!
After some researches in the registery of the server, he apparently found some "troubles keys", he deleted (sorry, I can't give more explanations about that), to finally discover that my VC_Storm maps were working again!!!
I also remember to have got a bug (player's name) when I chosed to run Vietcong in the compatibilty mode, by trying to fix some VC troubles... But when I deleted the key XP had created at that moment, the bug was GONE!
Note that a Vietcong re-installation won't fix the bug as long as the key won't be deleted!
Maybe "this" has nothing to do with our actual problem but it could be interesting to have a look in the registery as well because it seems to be a "sensitive area" for Vietcong!
