I am no longer able to connect either via Internet or Multiplayer, this is either from QTracker, or from typing an IP directly into the game.
Could my Win10 upgrade from 7 have updated some security settings? My router has the same rules as before, and it 'looks' like Vietcong.exe is allowed.
My Hosts file is also fine, it lists Vietcong & qtracker etc and their IP's.
I checked that, and it was turned on, thanks for the suggestion, I wouldn't have looked there.
I don't get an error message on Internet, on Direct connection I get 'cannot find host or searched game'.
I got to a solution by reinstalling everything then running the patches to get back to V1.6, as well as VCStarter. For some reason my saved games are still there but not recognising that I've made it through each mission (good for quickfights), but whatever...
