Another thing, can I work for italian translation for 1.70?
I was looking what translations are available and I found that only one file is missing: Italian UNIPAGE.TXT (everything else is there, although I only checked that based on file names, not content)
Do you want to try to translate that? I made a cleaned up version of the translations: AME, CZE, FRE, GER, ITA, SPA.

Sure, we should bundle it!
With the new platform, mods could be downloaded automatically when joining a game.
I dont think its a problem to have Fist Alpha game files plus an additional mod: Just put fist alpha files and mod files into main vietcong directory (and only keep addons\fistalpha\fistalpha.ini). The only problem I had was in multiplayer where claymore wasnt in inventory and I got kicked when selecting FA weapons. But I already fixed that, it was a clientside check if addons\fistalpha\fistalpha_01.cbf is existing.
Or are there further problems? What about putting mod files into fist alpha dir?
My idea was take FA files, put there new files and pack them together with FA. In this case you will have new addon including old FA + new patch. It can be used also by people who don't have FA installed, not only FA players.
But ofcourse this addon should be used only for multiplayer, so all stuff for single campaign should be deleted.
There is still the option to have an "untouched" FA installation ( for league gaming) and a V1.7 which is based on the FA demo......if only someone could solve the class limit problem.
@KostiCZ
Additional ~750MB FA files for every mod? And also for players with FA already installed?
@Silent Bob
Based on FA demo? Why that?
I think its all not that complicated?!
No matter if someone got FA or not, he should be able to install a mod by just putting a CBF into the main directory (managed by my program of course).
Limits for new classes can be supported by my program (as part of the mod support). Anticheat will make sure that all relevant game files are the same for all players of a match.
The full game download I want to provide will probably consist of one single CBF file: Vietcong and FA packed together. But I dont want to make downloading about 2GB to a requirement to be able to use the new game system, so it should work with every 1.6 installation. I will soon dig into all that, checking what relevant files exist in VC and FA cbfs, and if mods can be managed in that easy way I imagine.
Version 1.7 sounds awesome to vote for. I do not know most of the tech gibberish you guys are working on, but i follow it and learn more each time...thanks. I may be able to help with realistic weapon sounds, video and or Photos if it's not to late in the development. Being American and the son of a Lively Vietnam Vet, we exercise our rights to have firearms. I love to shoot that 1911! Or the Mauser Model ninety-Eight! We work all year to hunt the winter months and practice in between.
Thanks
Be well....Vic
I deleted 5 of 7 singleplayer missions and got a 313mb .cbf file. when you also delete the sounds, textures and models for the singleplayer i think 150 mb are possible...
