Bought a laptop for college, decided to install Vietcong after years I haven't played it.
Found this annoying bug, checked some forums but threads were old as hell and I was like oh woe is me I will never be able to play Vietcong anymore.
Then I found this thread and I noticed last post was made less than 3 days ago.
I couldn't believe it, I downloaded VCStarter 1.4 and now it runs smooth with no problems.
Great job guys. |

The files are diferent from the original because i have a portable version of vietcong, which can be saved in a USB or other recording devices without installing, oOoOh i never thought of that, i will download a installer version of vietcong and i will tell if it works this time  |

I dont think that there is a special version of v1.6 (even if its called portable where you got it from), the game doesnt have to be installed anyway (just copy files and use NOCD).
Either its your antivirus or the checksum of game or logs dll, why ever. I PMd you my mail, send me these files please. |

The files you just sent me differ from the originals. I only checked game.dll now, it seems to have the "player respawn method" fix. Where do you have it from?
VCStarter can only work with the original files, I sent them to you. |

Good news, finally i can do the campaign, and play in hradba servers, after copy and paste the dlls that brchi sent me, Vietcong still not working so i installed the NO portable version of vietcong and copy&pasted the vc starter into the folder and.......kazam! the radioman&hradba will not be a problem from now
