I want to appreciate the creators of the VC starter and all VC players here.
I am from Taiwan. I started playing VC since the VC demo was released. (2003?)
I once left messages on steam and GOG for taking Vietcong again, however it doesn't work so far.
I didn't expect that I am able to play VC today with my win 10. There are still servers alive! The VC runs even better than before!
Have you guys ever considered to create a facebook group to rally old players and invite new players?
Is Vietcong legal to share with people for free now?
I purchased 3 VC copies and 1 VC: FA many years ago. I reassembled them into a install-free package for backup purpose with complete VC/VC: FA/VC:RD in it. This package will make this game very easy to distribute.

There are few active FB pages (and few web pages). There is also Steam group.

In matter of law it is not legal, but for me it is legal in matter of moral, since Vietcong is not distributed anymore for several years.

if you will share vc game, make it in official installer way, please dont share user install-free packages - this is good only for your already installed game in your pc, but new player should always make clean install to avoid problems.

I hope im an european .. no one plays vietcong in asia ... well , at least vietcong is dead in asia ;__; (im asian and i have exteremely bad ping on EU or US server . not playable ) so , i think i quit vietgong ;;_;;

Please, don't! Some US players plays on EU servers, I think their ping is not much better than your when you play on EU/US servers.
just like 5 years ago .. there was a server called 420 greens .. there was at least 27 players playing on the server .. and it was not only on Sunday .. but everyday...
Yes, Hidden & Dangerous is a great game. Nowadays I play Arma 3 which is also a Czech game. You can roll over to sides when prone, this feels like H&D. It's a very nice game, too, I just find my AI team mates to be quite stupid... I found the system more elaborated in H&D, you could even switch between bots.
yess!!! i bought hd 2 on gog . its sooooooo awesome . may be better than vc , i think . yes, there aint vietcong on gog. so strange . if vietcong were released on gog may be online player will increase . i also hope gog will sell vc2 . never played vc2 .
