For predefined file names like XSOUND.TXT, newer maps (by creation date, a timestamp inside the map file) will overwrite those files from older maps. So if you have another (older) map with a sound mod in your maps folder, your map will overwrite the XSOUND.TXT and any extra sound will be missing from the old map if you play it. (This is because the engine loads all maps into its internal file system on start and always replaces older files with newer ones and doesn't merge them) And conversely, if you add a newer map than yours with a sound mod to your maps folder, the extra sounds of your map will no longer work. (Correct me if I'm wrong) I think I already have a solution for this which I want to include into the Community Hub. (Basically ever having only a single map loaded by the engine (the one you currently want to play)). Edited by Brchi on 16-08-2015 11:08
