DumpDust. Bah. Stupid little map.

DumpDust is a map for a small group of players such as 3v3, and like other small maps if they allow grenades, it would make the game boring because we would be throwing grenades mutually. for someting there is a sign that says no grenades. Another thing is that you dont like little maps, I also dislike small maps because this is not the Vietcong style, is more like counter strike style but it is something we must get used, I guess you know why Pfft

It's ok for short games. DumpDust is not good for all-day/100-point games--for me, gets boring quick, though there is an annoyingly stubborn little group who seem to like it.

I complain mostly because the Black Pajama Homi server is the only server running big maps that does not kick me for my 140-to-155 ping (I'm in the U.S.).

For awhile there I thought Brchi (Vrchi?) had gotten rid of it. I guess he hasn't. Sad

And what happened to Boreal Mountain? That was a good map. Good participation.

Hehheh, how about a ... "Boreal Mountain 2"?: has a path all the way around that big lake on the left?

Yea, Boreal Mountain needs revision, but I think Yrchi (the creator) lost the project files :(

Anyway: the old Boreal Mountain (the version that worked good) is fine with me.

Editor & 3ds max scenes I guess. Or he can't load the old 3ds max scene with his new 3ds max version, dont remember now.

What bothers me most is to be invisible in water on US side, and that the shore looks crappy (no actual land/water transition).

Does the BPH server usually reset itself automatically? It's not up today.

Hey -- can Stream be made foggy and rainy like Storm? That would be a hoot.

BPH is on all day long already.
I'm doing a manual restart every morning (It closes down from 2-6 o'clock (UTC+1) if players < 2).

I know a lot of stream maps modified as rainy or foggy, maybe also night... it is not problem.

Oh, hehheh, I see it now. I had my game-type filter set to "CTF", not on "All".

I never much cared for DaisyTown3, though.

I've seen at least one modified Stream map. It had a few scattered bunkers and things, kind of haphazard. Did not seem to improve play by much.


I still think my "StreamDeep" idea is worth a try. APPLAUSE

YES!

My understanding is that 3DS Max is needed to modify terrain.

Sure -- if a Stream map that's foggy, dark and rainy like Storm does not already exist, then, yeah, that'd be great if you can make one.

You might want to first ask Brchi if he is willing to (or can) run it, or publicly test it, on the Black Pajama Homi server.

If I was able to mod terrain, I would make 'StreamDeep": like Stream, except:

1. The stream can only be crossed on a bridge. It is too deep, or is a deep canyon.
2. Both extreme ends of the stream (or canyon) has a bridge.
3. There must be two or three more bridges along the stream/canyon.
4. Optional: a small tower at each bridge?
