Hello,
You must use bes import plugin (for 3ds Max 8).
As you know, Sonic working on plugins for Blender too.
Im not sure if that plugin works with higher vertsions of 3ds Max, you must try.
It is no longer a problem to convert from a lower version of Max to a higher version. Ninja Ripper or 3D Ripper DX will certainly not help you. These are used for ripping from graphics memory, so preferably from games.
Also, don't forget to WELD multiplied vertices. Importing to Max causes vertices to be multiplied where polygons with different textures are adjacent. Also cancels SMOOTHGROUPS.
Only copy files from RAR package into your Autodesk/3dsMax8/.

As I know 3ds max 8 it is only supported for 32 bit systems. I have a 64-bit and do not want to roll over to 32 bit. Are there any other ways? |
