This might be a videocard issue, tell your member to uncheck Antialising and other modes in the videocard settings (nvida control panel or ccc).

I had the same problem and following the same suggestion of Silent Bob i solved it, also useful is change game resoluton to a lower value.

I have player name issue . my player name {420}Ninjutsu cleared by program and changed to " player " every time i play multiplayer . oddly , first letter of my player name is shown on the name field . for example , { for {420}Ninjutsu ....

Have you tried the compatibility mode before your problem started or you got that bug directly after the install?

oh wow, you guys are awesome . yes, im using compatibility mode ( win98 compatibility ) , because it was laggy on xp . still laggy thou ! i ll try turn off compatiblty mode off and i ll tell you the result !

Unfortunately, it shouldn't work to put the compatibility mode "off" 420Ninjutsu... XP has created a "key" that will stay in your registery and as long as you will not erase it, the bug will stay, even after a VC re-installation!

It unlocks the "Level of blood" option in Options->General.

No, the options (None, Medium, Real) depend on the "marketing line" and language setting.
