Water from VC2
iggy
Hello

Is it possible to create in 3dsmax, water like its shown on pictures taken from VC2? To actually work for VC1?

This one is from Frontier VC2

As im working on a map and have wide sea area... i would like to get something different than boring "water" textures.
Also, i cant get rid of stripes that i get while i'm UVW mapping, any advice on that? some multitextures to break this repetition of textures?

Please help, thanks Smile

I worked a lot with water and same as vc2 is not possible unfortunately.

If you haven't seen my map Dau Tien then there is maximum what I can create.

If you are interested then I will explain more.

I saw your Dau Tien, that was great.

I did something similar on reflection.

Had two water planes both aligned exact on Z axis, with same texture applied.
First water had transparency type set to #0 and object properties "TexMove=0,0.03,0"
Second one had transparency #4 - translucent and object properties "TexMove=0,-0.03,0"

This gives nice water movement and reflection if everything is flipped corretly

Now i just need to adjust sectors to properly show underwater ground when player walks through...

If you have time, explain some more because i think i'm missing something

This is what i get
