3ds max 8 Problem
Nobody
Hello all!

It has been a really long time since I played VC the last time. As I heard of the VCStarter 1.4 and testet it I finally hadn't had Problems with VC on Windows 7 64 bit anymore. Then after playing some of my maps I realised that I was a pretty shitty mapper and that my 3ds may skills are now extremly better. So I installed 3ds max 8 again with the BES plugin.
Everything in 3ds max is working good but not PteroMat. Everytime when I try to make a PteroMat texture and click on any of the "buttons" like "none" where I used to load textures in, or basicly any other button. It has no effect at all. No window is opening where to select the texture. The small buttons are not activating and I really have no idea what to do.
Set the exe to Windows XP and opened it as a administrator, but no effect at all.
Does anyone know what I could do to fix that problem?

I remember having this issue years ago... I think I just ended up using the vc2 plugins. Cool

Thanks for the help! When I am back home I will first test it with the plugins for 3ds max 7 and when that doesn't work, switch to the VC2 plugins and test if that works for me Smile

Hello,

Trying to make terrains but how must I install the 3DS MAX8 Plugins?
Do I need also the 3DS MAX8 program itself?
Can someone explain this step by the step?

Thx in advance for your help.

You just need to copy the files plugcfg, plugins, scripts and ui into the main directory of 3ds Max 8.

Official advice: buy it, unofficial advice: try to search torrents...
