Hey Guys, at the moment I am an active Member of Vietcongfriends. There I was told to ask some Questions in this Forum.
Okay, I modeled a Weapon in 3DS Max and Textured it with an 1024x1024 COD: Black Ops Texture ( M16, the 2nd Weapon an Ak-47 with 3 Textures, 512x1024, 1024x1024, 1024x1024 [self made])
Ingame it´s diplayed right, but I miss the Texture. Check out the pictures. They are all in the right folder in an .cbf in my addon folder.
make sure you generate a texture-database.
do that by starting the editor and putting in the models. then click on generate texdb below the database.
get the texdb.dat from vietcong\dev and include it in your mod at the same position (modname.cbf\dev\texdb.dat)
AWESooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomeeeeeee. I changed the Name of the M16 Texture to M16.dds. Bling, it´s displayed on the weapon. but the AK has 3 Textures, so I can´t do the same thing...
i tried it over 10 times, but nothing happened. I oppened the TexDB and saw all zhe Texturenames. Tomorrow I will cut out all the Textures and only place the Ak textures in the tex Folder. I will see...
It didn´t work, so I opened the model in 3DS Max and assigned only 1 Texture ( I put all textures together in 1 texture, unfortunately the texture is now 2048x2048) it works I tried to change the red dawn models, but in multiplayer the weapons aren´t in the player menue. How to add f.e. the m14 automatic(all the addon weapons)?

I opened the TexDB with the standart editor, that´s enough. hm, the TexDB contains over 3000 textures. I think (my) VC recognize only one weapon texture...
Is it possible to find out the bonenames used in 3DS Max? I could make some new animations like reloding animations etc. In this video are my AK-47 and my M16 and an animation example. What do you think? If VC had anti-aliasing, the textures would be better looking^^.But these guns you can play on every non hradba server...
