Vietcong is my favorite game out there . It all started when one of the game magazines back then had a Multiplayer demo of Vietcong. It was Stream all along. So I was there playing Stream all day long, as I was not able to afford or obtain Vietcong. I loved it, especially the Multiplayer! Then finally, god bless, I actually saw it in a store and my mom got it for me . After figuring out how to patch it, which was not so obvious back then. I was able to jump into the full experience right away.
Long story short, I fell in love with Vietnam games and I was missing Vietcong. So I decided to make my own game called Military Conflict: Vietnam, which took great influence from Vietcong. The game is already in development since 5 years and is coming to Steam this year as a early-access title.
Since you guys are all Vietcong Veterans your opinion and feedback is of utmost importance to me.
Player can experience the game how they want to, there are options to restrict certain weapons and as well the level of realism. It comes with the Hammer Editor, which has thousands of tutorials. So you can recreate your favorite maps!
Thanks for reading and sorry for advertising , but I really do not want you guys to miss out on this one.

Hello,
Because I'm mainly a Coop player, I will probably never play your game (sorry!). Moreover, my (rare) freetime is still used to play and edit/create maps for our beloved Vietcong, so...
However, I would like to "morally" encourage and support you, to continue such a work because I know how difficult and long it can be sometimes! Don't give up!

It realy looks like VC2 - what is the advantage?
That is really a though question! Vietcong 2 will always be Vietcong 2 and Military Conflict: Vietnam is a whole new experience, although without Vietcong there would not be a Military Conflict: Vietnam. It touches many of the old aspects, such as a fast gameplay and the Vietnam lore.
MC:V is a new game, so you will get modern day game mechanics and user interactions, new and interesting game modes.
Wow, you kept this game in secret for 5 years? In Vietcong, the Coop and CTF are like two completely different games - it has different players and very different game style. In coop, you try to play slow, communicate with others and stay alive. On the other hand in CTF you can play much faster, because you respawn every few seconds, so who cares. This game is probably more for the CTF players (thats okay), even tho it will have coop mode (unlike the rising storm vietnam). This gameplay looks quite fast to me tho, like CoD games (it looks quite similar). Are there any classes, like medic for healing, engineer for ammo/traps etc? Will there be campaign? What engine are you using if I may ask (will it run on Linux)?

Keep up the good work!
Yes you got all the classes, ammo, medtic traps. We are using the Source Engine, which comes with a great map Editor. And we are working on the Linux version.
