I'm looking for my successor who is able to host TS3 and Vietcong servers. I'm in difficult life situation and I'm not able to host servers anymore. It is too expensive for me now. So looking for anybody with good internet connection and HW strong enough to host VC servers. I can provide my scripts and PC settings, also all maps I have available and tested for servers.
If anybody is able to take over this hosting, please let me know.
This is sad news ;( your servers have always been the best of the best. I hope there will be someone to take over your great job, If we dont find anyone else, the worst case scenario would be Haddock hosting a server. Then we all know how our ping will look like! haha

I'm so sorry for your situation, I hope you will get better. I really can't do nothing for the server, not good connection and computer..
If im not wrong Brchi already have a server called BLACK PAJAMAS HOMI, and that server is also smashing good. Dont know if anyone from the other side of the Atlantic (Dim).. have tested it.
I bet KostiCZ will show you how to set up servers like he did (with maplist and everything else) Also Dim have had some kind of control of the server, like being able to reboot the server, change maplist etc... For regular serveradmins a bunch of players in the group HNN here on vietcong.info was "working" as admin, now there are not many of them left active but Dim, Haddock, Doomed are the ones being active admins and playing almoust every day on VIETCONG.INFO
Brchi, thanks a lot. About ingame admin - I didn't play VC for about 2 years, so you don't have to be good admin, if we still have DiM, Haddock and others.

That's really nice of you, Brchi! I would even imagine that we could let go of one of the three servers (mostly HNN-server), since we're nowadays mainly playing on open servers, which (still!) attracts new players ---- I mean, our latest recruit is a pizza boy, how about that?!

Besides that you kept hosting those VC servers even though you did not play it for long time .So not many people would have done that for their community that only proves you are a great host and admin .
Untill the end of the year you can also host less servers perhaps one or two in this case you bring the few vc players that are left to one location .. just a thought ...
Also if you need repairs for your server you can send me a pm what is defect iam sure i have it in my hugh hardware stock somewhere
Hey Apache This server is third PC (got first one from Silent Bob, then 2x bought new one). Now it is quite good HW and nothing is defect. But maybe you know my situation now so I need to downgrade my internet connection to basic. Also power consumption for 24/7 running AMD PC is quite high what is out of my budget now.
And there is not any difference if I host 1 VC server or 5 servers. If they are not active, they don't consume CPU time.
Yep Kosti iam sure you did everything in your power for this community .
Servers empty mostly but you still have to pay for the fast internet and power while you dont even play the game anymore for long time now ,several years ,
Perhaps its possible to run dedicated VC server there to and you can pick the location for the server to make it kind of central for your active players .

I thought it would be perhaps a solution for the other people here . iam almost sure they will install VC if possible and host it ...
I know its not a solution for you mate but if they would host it would be a great and cheap one for the other folks here , i mean to say whats 20 bugs a month for a 40 slut dedicated game server that runs good ?
